Sounds like a scene from "Mad Max" or "Road Worrier".  As I recall, Max had
a level on his shifter he would lift up to engage the blower.  Always
thought that would make a cool addition to a "sleeper" car ;-).

BTW, If I *wasn't* racing my Miata, I would look into the cool
supercharger.  Most racing I know, won't let you add such a device, unless
you want to race in Mod car classes.   ---JCG.
