Unless you are really attached to the idea that you have an extremely early
Miata, I'd go for it.  $3000 for another 54,000 miles and a hard top and lsd
is a good deal.  The factory hardtop is about $1100, the lsd is about $750 as
far as replacements go, then there is the $75 head rest speakers and the $150
power windows.  Sounds like a good deal to me.  Of course the stock lsd is
not that great (I have the Millen replacement, which is much more limiting)
I'd keep the hardtop if I were you, it will help resale and if it gets really
cold, just put it on.
