Well, I picked up the car.  Based on some of the feedback given by
list members, I had called and asked if the plugwires were covered
under any warranty.  The whole job cost me $23 (labor for scoping the
bad wire and idle adjustments -- one half hour at $46/hour rate).
Wires were free, and are now NGK bright blue.  The credit on my
invoice was for $55.60 for the wires under warranty claim.

Thanks to all for the net.wisdom -- gave me good answers, timely,
cheap, and mostly (about 9 out of 12 or so) correct!
