Subject: 94 Miata gearbox trouble?

One of the local dealers told me there was a recall
on '94 5-speed cars, and that only the automatics would 
be released first....has anyone else heard of this vicious
rumor?
Also, on the 'R' Cars, are there any suspension changes 
other than the Bilstein shocks?
Finally, How much does the power steering option weigh, 
my guess was 40-70 lbs.
