OK, here's a fun project for us. Over the years, Porsche has come out with stiff, fast, no-nonsense versions of their cars to satisfy a certain fanatical portion of their customers. Examples would be the 916 (914-6 with welded on roof, bigger engine) which never actually went into production, and the 911 RS America (I think I've got my designation right). Now, you top-down purist/fanatics should stop reading here. How about a (_very_ limited edition,100's, not 1000's) Miata with: Welded on metal roof Power, as in BBR turbo, MCA supercharger, etc No AC, no radio, no power anything Added structural rigidity (shock tower brace, ...) Very sporty suspension, obviously Fat, sticky rubber Highly supportive seats Proper harnesses No center console Cut out weight anywhere possible other??? Charge whatever they must, and insurance be damned, I'll bet that some of you racers out there (which I am not) would be interested. Any opinions? Let's get the flame war going! -Jeff.
