I do a couple of things. Every month I apply Nu-Vinyl to the top and all
the weatherstripping. I don't do the tires because it leaves 'em looking
dipped in oil, an appearance I hate. :)

When I detail my car, I clean the top with simple green and a soft scrub
brush, to get any grit out of the grain, doing a small area at a time and
flooding the surface with water to wash it. The only wear points I can see
on the exterior of the top come from the way it folds, not from scrubbing.
