Howdy folks,
If you get a chance, you should check out the current (December) issue of
Sport Compact Car Magazine.  There are 3 Miata related articles, plus an
editorial that says among other things that the MCA is the largest automotive
enthusiasts organization in America.  There is an article about a Miata
gathering in Southern California, Bolting on a Millen strut brace, and
Monster Miata's latest, a 400hp turbocharged 5.0L Miata.  They list its
top speed as 174 mph.  That sounds scary to me, much faster than the car
was designed for, but they have done extensive modifications.  One thing that
looked quite a bit better was a headlight set-up that used lower profile
headlights.  The doors did not pop up as high.

Also they had an article on the Pikes Peak race (no Miatas mentioned... Maybe
next year...)

Otherwise this magazine is of the 'my sentra/civic is lower and has more neon
and plastic than yours' genre of magazine.
