Jeff,
I don't use anything on my top (like armor all, Meguars, etc.).  I do wash it 
with mild soap from time to time.  It's fine, no cracking or leaks.  The car 
is a '91 A package, has 33,000 miles, and has been parked ourside for a year 
and a half now.
