I, on the other hand, parked my miata next to an OLD Lotus Elan, and was
amazed at how large the miata is.  I'd gotten used to the idea I had a
tiny car, but the lotus had to be 20% smaller all over.  Especially the
hood line, which is significantly lower. Collin knew how to make 'em light,
which usually meant small, too.

At one time I really wanted an Elan (old one), or maybe an MGB or a Spitfire
of even an Alfa, but didn't want to deal with fixing it all the time (my Jag
taught me THAT in a hurry!).  When the Miata came out, there were no more
excuses as to why I shouldn't buy a sports car... Viola!
