Actually this is part of the Miata's personality -- you can easily drift the car at low speeds. On the other hand, if you do value performance, you should ditch the OE tires. However, higher limits do not absolve the driver of responsible driving. High performance tires will simply allow inept drivers to spin the car at higher speeds. Michael Butler
