David, I believe you are thinking of different pieces of velcro. There are four squares of velcro (~1 inch sp.) loops approx. in each corner of the window the hold the window protector - These are not the same strips I am discussing. I do use those strips to hold my own window protector in place. The velcro I am having trouble with is near the base of the zipper ends and holds the window fabric to the top fabric. The strips are about six inches long. Someone thought these strips aerve the purpose of folding the top properly when it is being lowered. The strip is located between the zipper and the front of the car.... FYI, my window protectors are pieces of cotton flanel that attach to the little pieces of velcro that you refer to. I put one on each side of the plastic to keep it from getting scratched. -alex- Alex M.
