Miateers,
I am quite surprised to hear these reports of 22-25 mpg!  I have a heavy foot
and don't think that I have ever gotten less than 28.  My shifting points
range from 3K to 6.7K (probably weighted on the high side), although most
of my driving is on interstates at 65-85 mph with occasional traffic
backups causing an average speed of 50-55 (crude assessment).  I occasioally
am able to get to 90-100 in uncluttered traffic, and then I see the most
significant consumption, but still never anything below 28mpg.
