Hmmm... Robert's original message sounded like my experience. It's been raining on my parked Miata, or I've just hosed the car down as I do every morning. (I live two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and park outdoors.) When I first get going, the brakes act just like any disk brakes I've ever used when wet; braking is a little sluggish until I gently pulse the brakes to dry them off. No problems after that. Now these stories about braking problems pulling off of the freeway worry me. One of the advantages of disk brakes is that dirt, grime, and water are thrown off of the disk by centrifugal force, if you'll pardon the misnomer. If this is not the case for you, check your rotors for excessive scoring; they may need to be turned. Regards, Steve '93 Classic Red Cape Canaveral, FL
