Having driven WI 35, I can say that the road is everything it's alledged to be.
It would be best to make sure the river is not flooded when you go on the drive
(the road follows the Mississippi - as does the Great River Road in IL). There
are also some good roads on the Minnesota side of the river. Two other fun roads
are WI 60 - follows the Wisconsin River and IL ? - follows the Rock River south
of Rockford.
