I saw a Miata in some movie I saw on an airplane recently. Can't remeber the title, but it was about some little kid who acquired an incredible pitching arm (freak accident) and ended up pitching for the Chicago (Cubs? White Sox?) team. The movie was awful, but I remeber the Miata. The sleazeball in the movie (the little kid's mother's greedy boyfriend) was the kid's agent and he drove the Miata. They showed him comically trying to fold himself into and out of the Miata, as if it were a car for a much more youthfull physique than this guy posessed. Anyway, it got me paying attention to how I get in and out of the car, and sometimes I must look pretty funny, too, especially when the back is acting up again. The movie's definitely a three-thumbs down affair, but if you're forced to watch it, look for the Miata. -Al -------------------------------------- Date: 12/8/93 2:05 PM To: Al Jenab >From: Chuang, Shyue-Hong BTW, has anyone seen a miata featured on a movie or something to that extent? I sure would like to catch a glimpse of it in 'Movieland'. I remember flipping on the TV one day and saw a show where someone pulled over onto a red Miata... the Red Miata ended up with a battered tail-end... then I forgot how it went. Somehow, I didn't think that it was a movie... more like a serial kind of show. You know the MacGuyver kind of show....
