When it comes to following too close, I am a real jerk. I feel like I watch my rear more than my front. If someone follows too close I either a) change lanes or, b) lift off the gas until they take the hint. Sometimes the later generates creative signing by other drivers. I really get ticked when I change lanes to let someone by and they change lanes just to stay behind me. (the lemming approach?) The bottom line is that I find myself not only allowing space between me and the car in front but also allowing for the idiot behind me as well. On another subject: Has anyone installed the Eaton Supercharger? If so what was your experience? Two friends of mine recently did an installation and were not pleased with the fit or finish. One person is an experienced mechanic and former Mazda dealer mechanic and owner of a Cartech Turbo Miata, the other owns the prototype Bell Engineering Aerodyne (sp) Turbo system. They have a time lapse video showing an installation time of about 11 hours for the Eaton kit. The tech people for the Eaton system stated that because the Miata has a "range of tollerance" within spec that there may be instances where some bending and trimming of the power steering bracket is required for "proper fit". (they talked to the tech people several times during installation) This was what apparently happened in this case. The car is being broken in now. We plan to organize a shootout between the cars in the future. I'll post the results then. Any word on Indy yet? Eric Fancher Tejas Miatas Austin, Texas
