Or simply turn off the ignition for a second or so while moving (and
stay in gear). When you turn it back on, a nice flame will shoot from
the exhaust.  Actually, this is probably not something you'd want to
try in your Miata!  In fact, I have no idea whether it would work on a
car; it does work very nicely on motorcycles though...
