Dear Friends: I asked some time ago about buying a used '90 or '91 Miata in the L.A. area. Several of you have replied with useful advice. Thanks for your help! Please tell me what you think of the following car: '91 Miata. 44K, Alarm, A/C, but no alloy wheels. No accidents, no dings, no mechanical problems. One car owner, changed oil every 4000 and documented this but didn't do much else for the car. $10,500. Downside: Top was slit when car was broken into last year. Owner had the top "professionally" stitched, but not replaced. The owner says there is no problem with leaks. Note that the car does NOT have alloy wheels, which is strange because I thought Package A included a/c and alloy wheels. Can one buy a/c without buying the package? So friends, is this a particularly good or bad deal? Do let me know if you have advice, since I am looking at the car this weekend (and will, of course, take it to a competent mechanic). Thanks again for your ongoing help in these matters.
