  Well, hey, you learn something new every day!  Thanks for the tip, Alan.
Of course, I only put the top cover on for fairly long trips (i.e. longer
than my work commute of about 25 miles); when I do, I almost always get
caught in one of those Florida thunderstorms.  Those who think they can
drive their Miatas in any rain storm should try living here for a while!
