The following is a note to me (and the rest of the list) from Mike

I got the Herpa Miata model - sent by a friend in Germany.  It's about
1.5 inch long & delightful.  The level of detail on this 1:87 scale
model exceeds that of the larger die-cast model advertised in Miata
Mag.  Even in its small scale, the Herpa has:

- body panels contoured correctly
- holes between the spokes in the wheels
- wipers painted black
- correctly painted lights (all lights - incl. side markers)
- door mirrors   
- grill area painted black

If you can find this model at your local hobby shop, I recommend it.
