I was at the LA International Auto show over the weekend doing some research on a potential new car purchase for the year (perhaps *this* is the year I buy a Miata!) and got a glimpse at the new R-package Miata. It had very wide set of double stripes running the length of the car, all the way from the front bumper to the rear trunk that shouted "Shelby Cobra", except this Miata was red, not blue. Nice look, except I didn't think the stick-on white stripes would last very long (it was already cracking at some areas of the front bumper). Other visible features of the car included a subtle add-on front-air dam, a rear skirt, rear spoiler, and the alloy wheels (the same as Package A-C). I also stopped by the Monster Motorsports and drooled over their sunburst yellow Mega-Monster Miata, and I thought people on this list might like to see the technical specs of both the Mega-Monster Miata and their older Monster Miata. The following information was from some handouts at their booth.
