You need to keep the fresh air coming in at ALL times. The only time you should do otherwise is when you want maximum cooling when you first start up, or you get behind a smelly truck or bus and don't want all those fumes in the car. Leaving the car in recirculate mode will not only give you more fog, but will also contribute to mildew on your cooling fins. ----- Barry A.
