i've come up with the name of "nermal", for my '91 silver A pkg. 

now i am not an avid garfield fan, but nermal, a cute, cuddlely and lovable
kitten (who rarely appears in the strip) is the exact antithesis of
garfield (big, fat and ugly). further, nermal has no other position in
life other than to be: cute cuddlely and lovable;  thus aggrivating garfield
to no end;-)

the miata is the embodiment of nermal, entirely: cute, lovable and
aggrivating to everyone else out there who cannot have one!  

i should get nermal on a license plate, but dont want to give up: jim's toy.
