In general, pads with a higher metallic content will offer worse braking performance when cold/wet. I believe that Mazda's "fix" for the early models was to install softer pads than original to improve wet braking. It might be worth looking into the fiberglass pads that are becoming available (usually recognizable by their lifetime warranty). I have no idea what their wet performance is - anybody tried them yet? -Andy Andy Poling Internet: andy@jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu UNIX Systems Programmer Bitnet: ANDY@JHUNIX Homewood Academic Computing Voice: (410)516-8096 Johns Hopkins University UUCP: uunet!mimsy!aplcen!jhunix!andy
