From: "craig" Subject: two questions Date: Thu, 3 Feb 1994 10:31:14 -0500
First, there has been a bit of recent traffic about door replacement speakers. Several of you mentioned Polk MM10a 6 1/2" speakers. I have a set of Polk Studio Monitor 10's in the house and love them. These sound like a nice direction to head. Will they mount in the door without interfering with the standard window cranks or are they only appropriate for those of us with power windows because the speaker protrude from the door in such a manner that they would interfere with the hand crank. Second, having recently had to deal with a damaged front bumper cover leading me to need to paint a new one, I am probably going to get a front end mask (bra for those who prefer that label) to keep the texas bugs off the paint. I had looked at the Mazda accessories option (the one that just covers the front bumper cover) but am inclined to opt for the one that comes up over the headlights instead. What kind of comments do ya'll have about the relative advantages or disadvantages of these two options. Thanx in advance for any replys. FYI, I just installed a set of MSW Type 55's w/ 195 50 15 A509s yesterday. Its like having a new car again. Wheels look great. Had to do something to make for stock alloys to race on. cb ******************************** Craig Blakely, Assoc. Director Public Policy Research Institute H.C.
