Marvin asked: Is the electric window thingee better than the manual? During these cold days, if the problem is mechnaical and the window is strained to be lowered, electircally that should strain the motor greatly, and frequent use could lead to a motor failure any commments (ie. only during these sooooooo cold days) My electric window thingies (regulators) have worked fine during two winters in WI and one in MD. Temps got to -20F in WI and -15F this winter in MD. Wind chills in WI got down to -70F. I have not noticed any significant problems with my window regs or motors. Using both at the same time slows them down, but I haven't noticed any real draw on the car's electrical system otherwise. -alex-
