All - My brother in-law and I were comparing maintenance stories He has a '90 with about 20K miles.  His starter problems started out with a wirring noise persisting after the car engine had started.  He would correct the poblem by turning the car off and starting it again.  Then recently, it wouldnt start at all.  No battery problem, just a dead starter.  He's some 40 miles from the dealer, but they came out with a flat bed tow truck for it!  When they got it to the shop, guess what, nothing was wrong  Ev
erything workend perfectly!  Recommend ed corrective procedure by the dealer was next time to put the car in gear and rock it  .  Anyone ever have similar problems?  My only complaint with my "93 so far (2200 miles) is that I had a dead battery due to leaving the parking lights on all day in the office parking lot.  Usually someone will send out a GENERAL PUBLIC E-mail alerting the workforce, but not this time.  Fortunately I was able to get jumped.  How come the Miata does!
