        I recently went to the local auto show here is beautiful downtown       
Syracuse, N.Y.  They had 2 Miatas -- one a 94 red base model which attracted    
considerable attention and the other, a 90 white base model which had been      
gutted of its internal combustion engine and crammed full of batteries..        
batteries everywhere, including the trunk.  It had a top speed of 55 mph!       
        Egad!  Is this what the world is coming to?
