Fellow fiends: I agree with Frank Potter that the Miata Magazine falls short in offering much of interest. Yes the adds are good, but how many sets of head rest speakers and window protectors and chrome thingamabobs can I buy? I for one would vote for upping the frequency of tech/performance/autox racing news and reports. Who does this mag anyway? Can anyone submit an article? If so, then maybe the more inspired could do just that. As time goes by, it might be more obvious that a stand alone news letter would work. I tend to agree with someone else on the list (sorry, I forgot the name) that none of us are restorers and saddly many of us aren't even into driving and tinkering with the car. I suspect, tho, that as the car ages (gracefully, I hope) and more used car owners crop up and more young DIY types crop up and the car earns more history and more racing and autox lore that there will be a wide interest in that sort of thing and a dimming interest in chrome whozeewhatsits. Will Zehring (aka wzehrin@cms.cc.wayne.edu) P.S. thanks to those who forwarded suggestions for the local club. In a way its the same problem: lots of people like the car, but for lots of different (and to me, odd, sometimes) ways. Sigh. That lime rally sounds...
