Subject: Borla Exhaust

I installed a Borla stainless steel exhaust system this weekend. I had
originally opted for the HKS, but Performance Buyers Club informed me that
the HKS price had gone up to $265. For $30 more I could get the Borla which
weighs less. Hmm... less weight, sold! :-) 

I weighed the stock system on the bathroom scale and it come out to 22 lb.
(pretty scientific huh?) The Borla weighs 13 lb. This is a cat back system
with a 2" pipe. Installation was easy enough. There are two sections with a
slip joint and U bolt splice. The U bolt is also stainless steel. 

If you don't like loud this is not the system for you. Don't get me wrong, I
like the stock "angry bees in a can" sound but this has a deeper throaty
sound. It feels like it has more punch. This could be in my head since I
subscribe to the"loud is fast" school of thought. ;-) The first autcross is
in two weeks. That should be the acid test.
