I usually drive my Land Cruiser when the weather is bad, but I got caught at work in my Miata when an ice storm hit Columbus. As I was driving home, I was reminded of the laws of motion that I learned in Physics 101 - i.e. A body in motion tends to remain in motion AND for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. For reasons beyond my ken, I was going along straight and slow when all of a sudden, the Miata decided to go into a spin. (Maybe I sneezed causing the equal and opposite reaction). With the anti-lock brakes chirping merrily, I twice ended up pointing in the opposite direction and in the adjacent lane. The third time, I ended up pointing in the right direction but in a ditch on the opposite side of the road. After I got winched out, I was on my way and got home safely. Now the question. Does anyone have any strategies for the Miata in ice and snow? Put it up on blocks for the winter? TIA. -- Dick
