Last night I was talking to my neighbor, a Colorado State Trooper, about
the use of running/parking lights.  He said that using them is perfectly
fine - as long as you are parked.  It is illegal in Colorado to use only your
parking lights while driving.  Although it is not a primary offense (they
won't usually ticket you for it), they do often use it as an excuse to
pull you over if they suspect you for something.  This was the first I'd
heard of the law and I've been driving for 16 years.
