From: David Dunham Subject: flapping cover; trunk wires Date: Sun, 13 Mar 1994 13:55:41 -0500
I've only had my Miata for a couple months, and have just started driving it at highway speeds with the top down. When I do, the boot cover starts to flap. When not at speed, it forms sort of a shelf, with a nice 90 degree bend. At speed, that bend starts flapping (and eventually one of the pieces that slip over the lip at the back will come off). Is there something I'm supposed to do to prevent this? (There are two elastic straps on the inside I don't know what to do with.) What are those two wire things sort of under the trunk hinge? They look like they could be unclipped, though I'm not sure to what purpose.
