The wicked good snow tires referred to by Click & Clack are, I believe, Hakapellittas, which are the _kind_ of tire made by this norwegian company (like "Mud-T/A" is to BFG). We've got a set of those, studded, on an Opel GT which is used in Winter Rallies. An Opel Gt, as anyone can tell you, is worse in the snow than a Miata. With the Haka's on it, it'll go anywhere. I think they go for about $100 each, but everyone I know who drives very fast in the snow swears by them, even those who do not put studs in them. Hey Scott (i think it was...) did you ever get your gas density equation?
