When I got to MD, I looked thru the book for the law, and it's there too. While I'm on lights, and I have been only quickly scanning my mail, I agree with John Keating's comment. In any limited visibility, I throw on my lights. Especially when I'm smaller than everyone else. Not for my visibility, but so they can at least recognize what they are about to run into or over. Additionally, I do use the lights when I'm driving on 55 mph 2 lanes out in plains states (Texas panhandle, etc). Out there monotony can set in, and with full sunlight, point sources of light are all the standout down the road. I think this is the same as in Canada. The region south of Montreal (in Quebec) is flat, the roads are so-so and speeds are high. Any help in visibility is beneficial. In areas with varied terrain, winding roads or other clutter provide better depth clues, so lights aren't as necessary. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Edward Lewis NASA/GSFC Code 520.0 Center Network Environment Entropy happens....
