My wife brought home the February 24 issue of the German weekly "Bunte" (kind of a German "Saturday Evening Post") yesterday, and it had spy photos of the BMW roadster and also the new roadster from Mercedes. The profile of the BMW is amazingly like the Miata, especially the convertible top and rear deck. The taillights are different, though, and it looks like the rear window is a bit larger. BTW, DM 45000 is over $26000 at current rates. Alan Dahl writes (thanks, Alan): >Here's what Milton had to say when I asked him about his luggage rack: >---------------------------------------------------------------------- >>Do you remember the name of the manufacturer of the cool luggage rack >>you have that you picked up in Germany? I can probably dig up the part number if >you want it. It is probably made in Italy, since Italian was the first I finally got out the brochure last night, so here's the part number for anyone interested. Its 3600-77-612. Using the 1991 price and current exchange rates, I come up with a cost of just over $170. Unfortunately, its just a little too big to be mailable. If there's enough interest, maybe we can convince Piet (or somebody else in Europe) to go into the import/export business :-) Milton Horst 71155.674@compuserve.com Seattle, WA horma200@ccmail.ca.boeing.com
