Now here's a topic that could use some discussion. Pennsylvania also hawks "STILL 55" in yellow add-ons at the tops of their signs, well into the state. What, exactly, are they trying to say? "Nyah, nyah, we have a militant anti-car society here, and we'll be happy to take your money in fines to pay for our extra (not terribly polite) signs"? Are they trying to remind the rest of the country that we are going to hell-in-a-handbasket and they're going to watch from the safe haven of their traffic righteousness? What does STILL 55 mean? And which citizens approved of this tactic? I find these signs offensive and annoying. They imply (to me) that the residents of the state feel they are better than the heathen states which allow the evil of operating your car above 55mph. (blblblblb... blood pressure going back down now...) I _do_ like the ones they have in Maine which remind you to check your tires, your brakes, stay alert and enjoy the state. :-)
