Thanks for the comments.  I heard that most of the Blue Ridge Parkway is
"out" from all the storm damage until Easter, so I'll have to reroute my
drive.  Its unfortunate that it and the Great Smokies were to be the
highlights.  (I prefer mountains over beaches any day.)

About SE'ers (aka Southeners) on the net, I haven't gotten any responses
from that part of the country.  Not even any flames :-). Sorry if the
stereotype might offend (I know not all SE'ers are like Uncle Dub at the
Gas-n-Go).  I seem to get a bit email nasty late on Fridays.

That being said, I will try to keep a travel log for the CAM letter.  I'll
have a Mac Powerbook with me, and a cigarette lighter adapter on loan so I
can recharge the battery.  (Tenters don't usually get electric hookups at
sites.)  Now if only I had a cellular modem.
