From my experience, it can't be done. Humans tend to think of Miatas as cars, whereas cats see Miatas as chaise lounges. I use a heavy technalon cover on my car. Generally 10 minutes after its been driven and put back in the garage our cats are flaked out on the hood basking in the warmth from the engine. They also have taken to climbing up beneath the cover to get into the open cockpit if the top and windows aren't up. Cats love Miatas. -Jim
