I'll reply to this via all points bulletin, since apparently many of you are
interested in finding a better deal on insurance.  I thought ITT Hartford
looked good, until they gave me a quote.  It would have been about $700 a
year more with them than with our current insuror, State Farm.  Although
they'd insure for actual value (whereas State F. would not), I'll take my
chances with that much difference.  After a few years with them with no
claims, I'm sure it would have come down a bit, but not that much.  It seems
to vary a lot depending on which agent you talk to, even within the same
company.  Go figure.  On Kirk's recommendation, I'll give Met. Live a call.
Can't hurt.
