Miateers,
Just for a random point of reference [remembering that this is 
personal opinion], I would offer the results of my test-driving
a '94 A pkg.  I was surprised to find [remember my opinion] that
the '94 was "sluggish" compared to my '93.  I don't know if the 
break-in that mine has inherently gone through was its advantage,
or if I happened to pick a poorer example to test-drive, but it
was indeed a "dog" compared to my '93.  Mine is a base model and
thus doesn't have the power steering pump hanging off the belts
but I am told that the load from the pwr strg pump is very slight
so I don't think that it could have been much of a factor.  Has
anyone else had an opportunity to compare cars?  [My ego drives
me to hope that my '93 happens to be an excellent product and 
slightly faster than the average.]
