RE: the insurance issue I have coverage with Farmer's.  After one year, my rate
went DOWN about $100.  When I asked my agent why he said that after a
few years worth of data on the Miata had been analyzed it showed that
Miata drivers were safer (less claims, tickets, etc.).  Therefore the
rates were then cheaper.  Anyone else out there have a similar occurence?

yes but compared to your comprehensive rates, I feel like passing out.

My Miata gets almost the same insurance as my Honda civic when new ..

but I pay $1200 !!! a year.

ANyone out there can make comparisons ?

$300 a year for amiata?  which state is that?
I'm in NY City, NY.
