I gotta relate this story, it's just too good! Yesterday I was coming out of a store to where I had parked Mimi, (in the middle of nowhere in a big lot) and a fellow in a relatively beat up pick-up truck (Uhoh another pick-up truck story) was pulling up beside Mimi to park. Why he decided to park right there I do not have the foggiest. Anyway, I regularly have this inclination to surprise folks with my alarm chirping and I was in the process of doing so when this guy opens his door and bumps my car. The alarm chirped at the instant his door hit my car [I don't know if his bump set it off or if my disarming it made it chirp]. I was close enough to hear him say (in an almost whisper) "Oh shit!" I walked up to the car on the passenger's side (where he had bumped it) looked closely at the area for marks, and seeing none commented, "I guess there are no marks on my car." He responded that he had door edge guards on his doors in an appologetic manner. I commended him for having installed such, but didn't comment on his clumsiness (it went without saying for both of us). Although he probably went away with a slightly bruised ego, I was elated that no damage had come to my just recently repainted vehicle. Tom "glad I have my alarm" Manson
