To Steve Re: the touch up paint:  Go to a good paint store and ask to
have a pint of lacquer made up on the Miata red color (my '91 red's
color is SU - it's on the driver's side in the door).  It's a
perfect match and doesn't leave a dull finish when dry.  I've tried this
and it really works great.  Good luck!
