Hello.

I just found this group; it looks like I've been missing a lot of good
stuff in the year that I've owned my blue Miata. Yes, I'm a member of
the club...

One thing that has puzzled me is whether there is an easy way to hook
up an oil temperature gauge. Some options I've heard of in the past include:

- a plate between the block and the oil filter that diverts the oil
(usually to a cooler, or) to a temperature sensor,
- a sensor that is built into the oil pan drain plug,
- a sensor that can be put down the dipstick tube,
- a sensor that is connected to the oil pressure gauge sensor.

I think I would prefer the last, if I could find one. Has this already been
figured out by somebody?
