Subject: Mismatched snaps in my rear!

     Does anyone else out there have a soft top boot that doesn't
     quite fit the factory snap fittings on the rear deck?  Mine
     has always been a bit off, but I didn't worry about it until
     I ordered a rear-window pocket protector that refuses to snap
     down at all.  The company I ordered it from said that this
     happens on one out of ten Miatas or so, and offered to re-do
     the snaps on the pocket protector for me at no charge!

     Now my protector fits like a glove, but the boot still has
     more slack between some of the snaps than it does others...

     Is this normal?  Am I to anally retentive about this?  Can you
     easily replace the carpet panel on the rear deck that holds the snaps?

     Help!!
