This battery is about 1/3 bigger than the Miata's and quite a bit heavier but it is totaly sealed and should be OK in the trunk. Cost is about $95 which may not be cheap enough to make it worth the effort compared to discount prices on the factory battery (you should be able to find a dealer to sell you one for 15-20% off list). Frankly I can't see why there is so much whining about the $125 or so cost of the factory battery considering you should only need one every 5 years or so. I've had so many problems with $50 48-month batterys that fail in 2 years that the savings doesn't seem worth it to me. At $125 every 5 years that's $25 a year vs $15 a year for a $75 Sears Die-Hard or whatever. $10 a year isn't a huge savings. FYI: My '90 is 4 1/2 years old with 82,000 miles on it and the original battery still works fine. --- ___ __ ___ Alan Dahl | alan.dahl@mccaw.com -or- /_ / / / Analysts International Co. | adahl@axysdev.nwest.mccaw.com / / _/_ /___ 10655 N.E. 4th St. Suite 804 | (NeXTMail OK) Bellevue, WA 98004 | PH: (206) 803-4496 | FAX: (206) 803-4901
