Hmm, when I was shopping for a new car, I asked my insurance company (USAA)
to give me a quote on the Miata and on a 94 Celica ST. I was astonished
that the Miata was a little cheaper to insure.

BTW, to the original poster of the windshield problem: I wouldn't tell
anyone the name of my insurance company until they gave me a quote. I'd
probably tell them I didn't think it was covered and thought it was coming
out of my pocket.

News to me -- my 94's manual said 10W30.
