Much as I hate to be repetetive, I believe the hypoid gears in the differential require the Extra Pressure additive (EP) which means it calls for GL-5 rated oil. I would not put MTL or MT-90 in the diff. which are both GL-4 oils. I know 2 people who shattered their Alfa diffs with MTL, they do drive hard, though. Redline also does not recommend 75W90NS in the limited slip diff. it needs some friction to work properly. - Steve. Josh Block wonders whether you need the extra .1 qt. of synthetic oil to to p up the transmission. It probably doesn't hurt, and besides, you can use the re st to put in the differential.
