    	This is it!  The Miata is finally out of the garage!!!!  Took it 
    out Saturday to go get inspected... had to try several shops to find 
    one working on Saturday.  Then I explained my rush was that my sticker 
    had expired last August, and I drove it until October, and now the 
    sticker is the wrong color and I'm really nervous.
    	Got it done, got home...  it was even sunny and 55F so I could wash 
    and wax.....  Waxed with a buffing pad and variable speed drill.   I 
    don't SEE any swirls, does anyone have a caution about this?  I am 
    contemplating a polishing compound, also, but not sure if I dare with 
    the power tools.  
    	The neighborhood kids are delighted to see the car out... my 
    commute today was filled with various "cool!"'s and "all right!"'s.

    	Our first autocross is in less than 3 weeks.  I hope the snow will 
    be gone from the parking lot and the sweeper visits.  We still have 
    those mondo piles of snow/ice at our first site.  They're down to about 
    6 feet now, but they still occupy a whole parking row plus a driving 
    lane.
